1. How Long Does It Take to Get a Marriage License in The Bahamas?
Getting your marriage license is quick and easy. After being in The Bahamas for at least one night, you can apply for your marriage license using our Priority Bahamas Marriage License Application Service. We then visit the Registrar General's Office with you and your marriage license is issued within one hour.

2. Is a Marriage License from The Bahamas Valid in the US?
Yes, legal marriages performed in The Bahamas are legally binding and recognised in the US. After your wedding, you’ll receive a certified Bahamas Marriage Certificate which is the document that you will use in the US as proof that you have been legally married in The Bahamas.
