Bahamas Villa Wedding
Your villa. Your rules. I handle the rest.
Tell me your vision and I will find the right villa, handle the legal ceremony, and run the entire day as your Licensed Bahamas Marriage Officer and WPIC-Certified Planner.

Glenn Ferguson
Three licences. One specialist.
"In 24 years coordinating villa weddings across Nassau, Eleuthera, Exuma, and Harbour Island, I have seen the same problem come up: couples book a stunning villa, then discover they have no Licensed Marriage Officer lined up, no one to arrange the affidavit through a Bahamian Notary Public, and no one who knows how the Registrar General's Department actually works on the day. A villa wedding requires exactly the same legal steps as any ceremony in the Bahamas. Because I hold a Government-issued Marriage Officer licence, WPIC Planner certification, and a BREA Real Estate licence, I am the only person in the Bahamas who can match you to the right villa and handle every legal step myself. That is what makes the day genuinely effortless."

Private villa vs resort wedding
Most couples research resorts first because they are easier to find online. A private villa gives you more control, often at lower total cost, with no shared spaces and no approved vendor lists. I coordinate both and will tell you which one genuinely fits your vision better.
Private villa Glenn recommends
- ✓Entire property exclusively yours
- ✓Choose any vendor: no approved lists
- ✓Set your own timeline and noise schedule
- ✓No venue fee: you pay only the villa rental
- ✓Ceremony and reception in one private location
- ✓Guests can stay on-site
- ✓Full control over catering, bar, and decor
- ✓Glenn manages every detail on-site
Resort wedding
- ○Shared with hotel guests
- ○Must use resort-approved vendors
- ○Noise curfews and time limits apply
- ○Venue fees typically $2,500 to $15,000 and above
- ○Ceremony and reception may be in different areas
- ○Guest rooms at standard hotel rates
- ○Fixed catering packages and minimums
- ○Mandatory service charge around 24%
"A villa wedding gives you the feel of hosting at your own home, except your home has turquoise water, a private pool, and palm trees. For 20 to 50 guests, it often costs less than a resort while giving you more privacy, more flexibility, and a better experience for everyone."

What I check on every
property before recommending it
Online photos can hide bad beach access, construction noise next door, kitchens that cannot support a catering team, or HOA restrictions that would end your evening early. I inspect every villa I recommend, or have someone I trust do it. Six things I check on every property.
Ceremony space
Where will the ceremony happen? I check sightlines, shade, wind patterns, and how guests will be positioned relative to you and the photographer. No surprises on the day.
Guest flow
How do guests move from ceremony to cocktails to dinner? I check layout for bottlenecks, shade during cocktail hour, distance between areas, and accessibility for older guests or children.
Kitchen and catering access
Can a catering team work from the villa's kitchen? I check counter space, refrigeration, service entrance access, and whether the setup can handle your guest count and menu.
Parking and vendor access
Where do guest vehicles park? Is there a drop-off area? Can vendor trucks access the property for load-in? I check every logistical detail couples do not think about until it becomes a problem.
Noise and neighbours
Are there close neighbours who might complain? Is the villa in an HOA with noise rules? I check local restrictions and confirm you can have music and late-night celebrations without issues.
Weather backup plan
Every villa I recommend has a workable rain plan: covered outdoor space, a large indoor area, or a veranda that can serve as a backup. I confirm this before recommending the property.
"I do not recommend a villa unless I have been there or had someone I trust confirm the details. Photos can hide a lot: bad beach access, construction noise next door, a kitchen that cannot handle 40 plates. That is why I inspect before I recommend."
