Outer Islands
Partial Planning, Exuma, Eleuthera and Harbour Island
For weddings on Exuma, Eleuthera, or Harbour Island where remote logistics require specialist coordination

Outer island weddings involve logistics that Nassau ceremonies do not: inter-island flights, water taxis, boat transfers, remote venue management, and vendors who may not be available on the island the day you need them. Glenn has 24 years of direct relationships across all three island groups and coordinates all of this on behalf of the couple. The partial planning fee reflects the additional coordination complexity of remote Bahamas destination weddings.

Covers: Inter-island logistics, venue research and liaison (Grand Isle Resort Exuma, Pink Sands Resort Harbour Island, The Other Side Eleuthera, and others), vendor coordination, boat and travel arrangements, ceremony script, licensed officiant services, and all legal documentation where applicable.

Why Glenn, not a resort coordinator or booking site

Glenn is the only point of contact from first enquiry through certificate delivery. He is the planner, the licensed officiant, the document handler, and the day-of coordinator. Resort coordinators manage the venue. They do not officiate the legal ceremony, process the marriage licence, or coordinate vendors outside the resort. Glenn does all of these things, for every couple, personally. No agency, no call centre, no assistant.

Select Your Planning Service and Book

Choose the planning service that fits your wedding, enter your ceremony date and contact details, and submit. Glenn reviews every booking personally and responds with availability and a full planning brief within 24 hours. For urgent enquiries or questions about which tier is right for you, WhatsApp Glenn directly.

What Happens After You Book

01

Glenn Reviews Your Booking Within 24 Hours

Glenn reads every submission himself. He confirms availability for your date, reviews the services you have selected, and sends a planning brief covering next steps, any documents required, and the full timeline for your wedding coordination. WhatsApp receives the fastest response for urgent or same-week enquiries.

02

Planning Begins Immediately After Confirmation

Once your booking is confirmed, Glenn begins venue research, vendor outreach, document preparation, and ceremony script drafting. For legal weddings, the marriage licence process starts during this stage. For outer island ceremonies, logistics and inter-island travel are coordinated in advance based on your ceremony date.

03

Glenn Manages Everything Through Ceremony Day

As both your WPIC-Certified planner and Licensed Marriage Officer, Glenn is the single point of contact for every aspect of your Bahamas wedding. He arrives 30 minutes before every ceremony to confirm setup, coordinate vendors, and ensure everything is in position. You arrive and say your vows. Everything has already been handled.

04

Certificate Delivery and Apostille if Required

Glenn delivers the signed and certified Bahamas marriage certificate after the ceremony. For couples who need Apostille certification for international recognition in their home country, Glenn processes this through the Bahamian Secretary of State's office and delivers the stamped certificate before departure. Some couples have had the Apostille-certified certificate delivered at the airport on departure day.

Nassau Bahamas, Verified Review

Glenn was outstanding. Professional, accommodating, and personal. He escorted us to get our marriage licence, which took about 20 minutes, then collected it the next day. He wrote the most beautiful ceremony and performed it right on the beach. From first contact to the final handshake, every detail was perfect.

Legal Beach Wedding, Nassau Bahamas, Verified Google Review

We were planning a wedding from overseas and had no idea where to start. Glenn answered every question before we even booked. He recommended the right venue, handled every vendor, and was standing there ready when we arrived at the beach. We did not have to think about a single logistical detail on the day. That is the value of a planner who actually knows the Bahamas.

Wedding Planning Questions Answered

How much does it cost to hire a wedding planner in the Bahamas?

Glenn Ferguson's Bahamas wedding planning fees are: Consultation $250; Micro-Wedding and Elopement Planning from $2,800; Outer Island Partial Planning (Exuma, Eleuthera, Harbour Island) from $6,500; Full-Service Nassau and Paradise Island Planning from $7,500. All tiers scale to a maximum of 15% of total wedding spend.

These are Glenn's planning service fees, separate from ceremony package costs such as florals, photography, catering, and venue facility fees. A 30-minute consultation at $250 is the recommended starting point for couples who are not yet certain which planning tier or island is right for their wedding. See the full wedding planner profile for the complete picture of what Glenn does as a planner.

What does the 15% maximum planning fee mean?

Each planning tier has a starting base fee (from $2,800 to $7,500) and a maximum cap of 15% of your total wedding spend. The planning fee is whichever figure is higher: the base fee or 15% of the total. This is standard in the destination wedding planning industry.

For example: if the Micro-Wedding base fee is $2,800 and your total wedding spend is $15,000, then 15% of $15,000 equals $2,250, which is below the base fee, so the planning fee is $2,800. If the total spend grows to $25,000, then 15% equals $3,750, which exceeds the base fee, so the planning fee becomes $3,750. The 15% cap ensures Glenn's fee scales proportionally with the complexity and scale of the wedding he is coordinating.

Do I need a wedding planner for a Bahamas destination wedding?

You do not legally need a wedding planner for a Bahamas wedding, but coordinating a legal destination wedding from abroad without local expertise typically leads to higher costs, avoidable mistakes, and unnecessary stress. Glenn's dual role as planner and licensed officiant eliminates the need for a separate officiant and simplifies the entire process.

The practical case for hiring Glenn is that he has 24 years of direct relationships with every relevant vendor, venue, and government office across the Bahamas. He knows which venues are reliable for your guest count, which vendors deliver on time, and how to navigate the Bahamas marriage licence process without the delays and extra costs that couples who self-coordinate frequently encounter. The planning fee typically pays for itself in avoided mistakes alone. See the full guide on why to hire Glenn.

Is the planning booking fee refundable?

No. All planning tier booking fees are non-refundable. Glenn begins venue research, vendor outreach, and document preparation within days of confirmation. This initial work cannot be reversed if the booking is cancelled.

The non-refundable booking fee protects both Glenn's time and his other couples by holding your ceremony date exclusively in his planning calendar. Before committing to a planning tier, the $250 consultation is the right first step to make certain the tier and the island you have chosen are correct for your wedding.

How far in advance should I book Glenn as a Bahamas wedding planner?

Glenn recommends booking as early as possible. Peak season (November through April) books quickest. For major Nassau resort venues like Atlantis and Baha Mar, booking 9 to 12 months in advance is advisable. Glenn has also planned weddings with as little as 48 hours' notice for elopements and micro-weddings.

The key constraint is not Glenn's availability but venue and vendor availability. Popular Nassau and outer island venues hold limited ceremony slots, particularly during December through April. Booking early gives Glenn the maximum time to secure your preferred venue, date, and vendors. For same-season bookings, contact Glenn directly by WhatsApp at +1-242-395-8495 to check what remains available for your dates before submitting the booking form.

Can I book a vow renewal through the wedding planning service?

The planning service tiers on this page are designed for legal destination weddings. Vow renewals are symbolic ceremonies with no legal paperwork and are booked separately with packages starting at $475 USD.

If you are already legally married and want a symbolic vow renewal ceremony, see the vow renewal packages page (from $475) or book a vow renewal directly. If you want to renew your vows as part of a larger Nassau event or resort occasion that involves significant coordination, contact Glenn to discuss whether a planning service tier makes sense for your specific situation.

Can Glenn Ferguson plan a wedding with 48 hours notice?

Yes. Glenn has planned and officiated complete legal weddings in the Bahamas with as little as 48 hours' notice. For urgent bookings, WhatsApp or call Glenn directly at +1-242-395-8495 before submitting the form to confirm availability.

Standard Bahamas marriage licence processing takes one to three business days. For couples who need the licence processed faster, Priority Marriage License Service is available as an add-on through the officiant booking page. Glenn advises on what is feasible for your specific dates during the initial conversation. For elopements and micro-weddings with no legal licence requirement (vow renewals), same-week bookings are sometimes possible depending on Glenn's current availability.

Does Glenn Ferguson plan Hindu ceremonies or multicultural weddings in the Bahamas?

Yes. Glenn has coordinated Hindu ceremonies with traditional mandap setups, multi-cultural celebrations blending two traditions, non-denominational, religious, and custom-vow ceremonies across the Bahamas. He has worked with couples from over 45 countries and adapts to every cultural and religious tradition.

Glenn's multicultural ceremony experience sets him apart from most Bahamas wedding planners, who primarily handle Western non-denominational ceremonies. If your ceremony has specific religious, cultural, or ceremonial requirements, describe them in the form or WhatsApp Glenn before booking so he can confirm the right planning approach for your tradition.

What is the difference between booking a wedding planning service and booking a wedding package?

A planning service tier (this page) is a professional coordination fee on top of ceremony costs. A wedding package is an all-in bundle including the officiant, florals, and transportation at a fixed price. Packages start at $1,495. Planning services start at $250 for a consultation.

Couples with smaller, simpler ceremonies typically find a package more cost-effective and straightforward. Couples with larger weddings, resort venue contracts, or complex logistics typically benefit from the planning service approach. The wedding packages booking page covers the bundled package options from $1,495. If you are unsure, the $250 consultation call with Glenn is the most efficient way to determine which approach fits your specific wedding.

WPIC-Certified. Licensed Marriage Officer. 24 Years. 7 Islands.
