Why the Bahamas – and why work with me
A Bahamas wedding gives you clear water, soft sand and warm evenings that feel made for a ceremony. The key is having someone on the ground who knows the islands, the legal process and the venues as well as the locals do.
- Fast, straightforward licence process when it is handled correctly
- Short flights from the U.S. and Canada, minimal jet lag for your guests
- Options from stylish resort ballrooms to quiet private beaches and villas
- Weather-aware planning with smart backup options built in
- A built-in honeymoon – stay on after everyone else flies home
My job is to protect your vision and your budget, remove the guesswork and make sure the day runs the way you imagined it when you first said, “Let’s get married in the Bahamas”.
What I handle for you
- Legal paperwork, licence appointment and Bahamas marriage certificate
- Venue research, site suggestions and contract support
- Vendors: flowers, décor, photography, music, hair and make-up, transport
- Timeline, rehearsal, ceremony and reception flow
- On-the-day coordination so you are not “working” your wedding

Why my Bahamas wedding packages work so well
Every couple wants something slightly different. Some only need a simple beach ceremony, others want a full weekend of events. That is why my packages are built as a clear starting point that we can adjust once I understand your plans, guest list and priorities.
- Fixed core services so you know what is covered from the start
- Room to add or remove elements without losing structure
- Upfront discussion of fees, taxes and service charges – no surprises
- Local vendors I know and trust, already tested in real wedding conditions
- Options across resorts, stand-alone venues and private villas
If you already have a resort in mind (Atlantis, Baha Mar, Sandals, boutique hotels or private estates), I can step in as your planner, coordinator and officiant so you are not trying to manage the venue and the vendors on your own.
What my Bahamas wedding packages include
Here is what you can expect in a typical 2026 package. Details change with your guest count, venue and island, but the core structure stays the same:

- On-site coordination on the day so you can stay present
Legal & officiating

- Support with the licence application in Nassau
- Ceremony performed by me as your licensed Marriage Officer

- Help with apostille if needed for your home country
Styling & guest experience
- Beach, garden, chapel, hotel or private villa ceremony options
- Florals and décor sized to your location and guest numbers

The process for planning your Bahamas wedding with me
Here is the simple framework I use so you always know what comes next.
- Initial call or WhatsApp. You share your story, guest count, preferred dates, islands and budget range.
- Shortlist of ideas. I send venue and package directions that fit, including notes on weather, travel and costs.
- Secure your date. Once you are comfortable, we confirm my services and start locking in venues and vendors.
- Plan and refine. Over the following weeks we refine the details: ceremony, décor, music, menu and flow.
- Handle the licence. I guide you through the paperwork and schedule the marriage licence appointment.
- Host the wedding. You arrive, we meet in person, review the plan and then you enjoy the day while my team runs it.
- After the wedding. I ensure your certificate is issued, recorded and, if needed, apostilled for home-country use.
If you are early in the process and still comparing islands, my Luxury Weddings in the Bahamas overview will help you weigh Nassau, Paradise Island, Eleuthera, Harbour Island and Exuma.
Bahamas wedding package FAQ for 2026
How far in advance should we book our Bahamas wedding?
For popular winter and spring dates, 9–12 months gives us the best venue and room-block options. For smaller elopements or weekday dates, we can often move faster. Once you have your year and likely month, it is worth talking so we can hold the right dates.
Which documents do we need for the marriage licence?
You will need valid passports, proof of arrival in the Bahamas, and – if applicable – certified divorce or death certificates from previous marriages. I send you a clear checklist and review it with you before you travel so there are no surprises.
Can you plan weddings outside Nassau and Paradise Island?
Yes. I plan weddings on Eleuthera, Harbour Island, Exuma and other islands. Travel logistics, vendor availability and set-up timelines differ by island, so we build those realities into the plan from the start.
What happens if the weather turns on our wedding day?
We always agree on a realistic backup plan when we confirm your venue. That might be a covered terrace, an indoor gallery, a tented layout or a timing adjustment. Because I live and work here, I track the patterns and make decisions with local insight rather than guesswork.
Do you only work with certain resorts or venues?
I work across many resorts, stand-alone venues and private villas in the Bahamas. My priority is always to match you with the space that fits your style and numbers, then build the right vendor team around that choice.
Ready to talk about your Bahamas wedding in 2026?
If you were sitting in my office today, I would start by asking three simple questions: when you want to get married, how many people you expect, and what “a great wedding” looks like for you. From there, we can build a plan that fits.
