Legal Requirements for Eloping in The Bahamas
- Be on island for at least 24 hours before applying for your license — full “how to”
- Valid passports (or birth certificates)
- Status documents:
- Single → Affidavit of Singlehood (we prepare)
- Divorced → Certified divorce decree
- Apply at the Registrar General’s Office (license fee: US $100). Start here: Bahamas Marriage License Application
- Licensed Bahamas Marriage Officer must perform the ceremony — who can officiate?
- Couple + two witnesses sign the marriage register
We complete the application, schedule the interview, prepare affidavits, register the marriage, and obtain your certified certificate (Marriage Certificate) and Apostille (if required) so your marriage is recognized where you live.
